Methods Gallery: Traditional Metalsmithing
Traditional Metalsmithing involves all the basics, at many levels. Some techniques we use are:
- Hand sawing
- Hard soldering
- Wrapped Loops and other wire components
- Finishes: Bending, hammering, antiquing, texturing
- Finishing, polishing
- Stamping
- Riveting
- Hinges
Some techniques are quite simple and others take years to perfect.
Here are some photos of pieces with distinctive metalsmithing... although ALL of our pieces have at least some metalsmithing components. :). We will add more as time progresses.
