Sachith & Melissa's Rings
Hi Sachith & Melissa!
Welcome to your ring page. Hopefully this will give us a place to privately review options and decide on next steps.
To review/ensure we are aligned, here are some points we discussed while you were, below. I have placed asterisks on items I have outstanding questions/comments on. Those are in italics.
MELISSA'S RING
- STONE:
- SIZE of Center: Min 8mm to approx 11mm
- SHAPE: Oval preference but teardrop considered
- TYPE: Moissanite preferred, but be aware the color is very difficult to source in the particular size and cut of stone - need second choice or flexibility on the shade of pink**
- COLOR: Light parapadscha pink 1st choice, classy light yellow/golden second choice
- Accents: Clear moissanite or diamond
- BAND & Setting, Metal:
- Prefers a narrow band to emphasize size of stone - 3mm width / High bridge okay
- 18k Yellow gold
- Modified halo design; specialty, may need adjustments if timing is critical**
- Prefers a narrow band to emphasize size of stone - 3mm width / High bridge okay
- Other Design Notes:
- Set the stone deeper, and/or a rounded (rather than pointy) base if at all possible for durability; specialty, may need adjustments if timing is critical**
With all of that in mind, here are some options in 3D. I've provided close-coloring options where I can. I will try to give actual-cost points once you choose a style, but most of these fall in a $1400 - $2100 window, plus the wedding band (about $600). That is with the 18K and a moissanite or another similarly priced stone (such as Morganite, a pleasing color and shine), and an un-altered reproduction of what you see. Any alteration will add significant time and possible cost. Looking forward to your thoughts!
OPTION ONE:
Remember stone colors are representative only. This one shows 4 stones on each side in some photos, I put in a smaller center stone to reduce that to 3 if you prefer due to your preferences regarding groups of 4. I have also included a matching 18K band - plain (could also be on both sides if you wanted) so you can see how that would look. Also shown in plain diamond and champagne diamond shades.
OPTION TWO:
This is an all around halo. A few stone examples. Same type of plain ban examples.
Stones again are representative. This one rides a little higher, but as a whole; mitigating the danger of a stone standout out too much.
OPTION THREE:
I liked the undercross of this band, I thought it unique. It is also quite low profile, with the undercross providing the shield from the point of the center stone. The second photo shows with the wedding band added, for example.
OPTION FOUR:
I know this one has soft points on 2 sides, but it was delicate and beautiful. I believe that it merited consideration. I don't have an example of this one with a band, but of course we can look at what you'd like.
OPTION FIVE:
I know we didn't look at one with the halo on the bottom as well - but it also merited a look. They can be any color/type, including diamond. It has some real shine! Second photo shows it with a wedding band as well.
OPTION SIX:
This one is a variation without the halo on top. Something to consider, and really gives the spotlight to the center stone, while still shining from angles. The understones can again be any stone (white, pink, etc). Second photo with a wedding band.
OPTION SEVEN:
The shape of this one reminded me a lot of the original one you showed me, in the sense that the real plain outline of gold only, the stones more inner. It also has a squared look, just slightly. Second photo example with the wedding band. The bridge is a bit taller, but it is flat and has a strong gold edge, so should be good.
OPTION EIGHT:
I know this has a ruffled edge, which we did not discuss, but again, throwing out ideas that have merit. This is one of the lowest profile rings, which is great for wearability. This one also has side accents, but they are recessed - so will have no discomfort. This ring also has the same gold edge in addition to the halo. Even better, this one is a bezel setting, instead of prongs - giving it a ton of bling but a completely secure and non-snagging design. This ring also has a matching band.
SACHITH'S RING
- STONE:
- Unclear if desired, so including some options with and without
- Unclear if desired, so including some options with and without
- BAND & Setting, Metal:
- Unclear except "matching" - so right now looking at 18K yellow at least as a primary
- Other Design Notes:
- Matching Melissa, may want a second band for wedding - please advise if you have further thought on this or width.

Let me know of these, anything you do or don't like, so I can further refine your options. A few things I kept in mind - Any stone can be changed. I only picked styles with recessed stones or bezel set for wearability. Also, any pattern that would irritate does not go all the way around. Minor patterns are no issue.
Of course, more plain options are always possible - these were more specialized ideas. Cost starts around $1100 to about $1400, depending on stones, and amount of gold.
I'm going to list these out without much comment, until I know what you absolutely do and don't like. We can schedule a zoom etc.
