Happy In The Rain - Rustic Fine Silver Rain Umbrella Scene Pendant, Metal Clay with Blue Kyanite Beads & Recycled Silver

This pendant took several steps to make. First, I hand-carved the detailed rainy umbrella scene from PMC (Precious Metal Clay). This is a clay that when fired, burns off the binder to leave pure silver. After firing in my kiln, soldered the decorative and strong bail, and then finished the original design.
I have handmade a toggle clasp that fits right into the bail attachment on the pendant. This is both unique and quite serviceable. It means that a) it will always be easy to clasp, b) the pendant will always be in front and 3) the chain will never get turned around. A win!
The pendant itself is about 1.25 x 1.5". The chain is a solid sterling silver cable. On this chain, I've attached 6 briolettes of silvery blue kyanite. A wonderful color, look (raindrops!) and energy combination.
Please note, my pieces are not meant to be perfect or uniform. What you see here is what you get, and the "imperfections" are considered to be part of my rustic, freestyle technique. They will, however, be made with much care and attention for durability and unique design.
