I freehand-drew the image horse head on sterling silver, through an etching resist. I then bathed it in acid until the image was nice and deep. Then I soldered it to another piece of sterling, and made the top bail. I wrapped it hundreds of times in thread-thin sterling wire for decorative effect. The pendant is strong and heirloom-worthy..
My mark is in sterling on the reverse, and the bail artfully holds the 2 hand-forged hooks on the necklace chain.
This allows for ease of use, and becomes part of the design itself. You may choose the length of the chain, which is a solid sterling silver textured cable chain. The piece is oxidized to bring out the beauty of the design and the natural color of the metals. This also makes for easy care!
The pendant itself irregular shaped, approx 1.25"
This is a very special piece, and the only one of its kind. A beautiful and meaningful gift.
