When I saw this beautiful cabochon of Chrysocolla, in my mind I could see the Earth, an Island, palms... suddenly it seemed clear. So, I set it in sterling silver as an "island", and hand-stamped a scene out of Palm trees, ocean waves, a bright sun (yellow jade). I formed two rivets at the time for the hand-forged hooks on the sterling chain. On the reverse side, I hand-sawed a single palm tree. It feels ... peaceful. The stones in this necklace are both healing and tranquil. Can you feel the sun on your face?
Decorating the chain are spheres of green malachite and deep blue turquoise. The closure are two hand-forged hooks that slip over the bail of the pendant. Super easy to put on and off, but still quite secure. My favorite!
Very classy... And certainly will gather comments and compliments. Perfect gift - have something no one else will! An Art jewelry piece that is also quite wearable and made to last for generations. The combination of stones and metals here is very powerful.
