This piece was so special to me... I freehand-drew the image of the lady and her dress on sterling silver, through an etching resist. I then bathed it in acid until the image was nice and deep. Then I soldered it to a copper backing with zentangle-style patterns I created all around the free dancing woman. I'm not sure why, but this image just speaks to me.
My maker's mark is in sterling on the reverse, and the bail is crossed at the top to artfully hold the 2 hand-forged hooks on the necklace chain.
This allows for ease of use, and becomes part of the design itself. You may choose the length of the chain, which is a solid sterling silver textured cable chain. The piece is oxidized to bring out the beauty of the design and the natural color of the metals. This also makes for easy care!
The pendant itself is about 1.5" wide by .1.25" tall.
This is a very special piece, and the only one of its kind. A beautiful and meaningful gift.
